Le Chalet and La Maison du Gardien can be rented alongside the chateau all year round or individually during summer months. If rented individually, the gites do not have access to the chateau park or pool.
For the chateau there is a £1000 security deposit, for Le Chalet or La Maison du Gardien its £500. This will be refunded one week after check out.
We have seven night minimum stay during July and August, five nights at other times.
We offer discounts for stays of two weeks or longer. Rates include local tourism tax.

Getting here
Chateau de Carsac is located in the village of Carsac-de-Gurson. You can find us on Google Maps here.
The chateau is forty minutes drive from Bergerac airport, just over an hour from Bordeaux airport.
Bordeaux is also served by the TGV from Paris. The nearest local train station to the chateau is Montpon-Menestrol.
By road, Carsac-de-Gurson is nine hours from Calais, around six hours from Caen or St Malo.
Essentials
The chateau and gites will be fully cleaned and made up before your arrival. Extra cleaning during your stay can be arranged at extra cost.
Our house managers (English and French speaking) will meet you on arrival and are available for any issues or problems during your stay. They can also arrange babysitting or grocery shopping.
All bedlinen is provided, as are towels for the bathrooms and pool/beach towels.
The chateau is equipped with washing machine, dishwasher, cooker, microwave, coffee machine, fridge/freezer, gas and charcoal barbecues.
There is wifi throughout.
We have UK television channels, DVD player with movies and Sonos sound system.
Outdoor games, pool toys, indoor toys and board games are provided. There are a selection of books to read in the library.
There is underfloor (geothermal) heating on the ground floor, and electric heaters in the bedrooms. The library has a woodburner.
The nearest bakery is in the neighbouring village of St Martin-de-Gurson, less than a five minute drive away, but also a beautiful 20 minute walk through woods and vineyards.
The village of Villefranche-de-Lonchat is 5 minutes drive away, and has a bakery, small grocery store, restaurants and a Friday night market during the summer. The bakery offer fresh bread delivery each day.
Major supermarkets are just over 10 minutes drive away in Montpon-Menestrol.
Bikes can be hired from a local company who will deliver and collect from the chateau.
Check in time is 5pm, check out time is 10am.
Covid-19
We want you to be confident booking with us during the Covid-19 situation. If you have to cancel your stay due to travel restrictions in France or your home country, we will give you the option to move your booking to another date, or a full refund.
We are following government guidelines for cleaning in non-healthcare environments. All hard surfaces will be cleaned and disinfected before your arrival. All linens will be washed on hot setting. For the time being we have removed all soft furnishings such as cushions or throws that cannot be washed between guests. We provide both handwash and hand sanitiser.
We can offer self-checkin with our house managers on FaceTime or Skype if you prefer, and will provide all house information digitally in advance. It is easy to social distance at the château, and local supermarkets offer a click and collect service.

Pets
Well behaved dogs are welcome, we charge £25 per week per dog.
Safety and Accessibility
The swimming pool is alarmed, but not fenced, though the house and terraces are gated and so can be shut off from the pool.
As three hundred year old buildings, the chateau and gites have some uneven surfaces and high walls. There are several steps up to the chateau entrances.
There are two lakes, and a pond, in the chateau park.
