 Dordogne, France

ABOUT

Chateau de Carsac is the perfect holiday home in the beautiful Dordogne region of France.  Built in 1775, originally as a presbytery for the ancient neighbouring church, this former wine chateau, its cottages and park have been carefully restored to provide spacious accommodation for up to 14 guests.

Situated on the edge of the village of Carsac-de-Gurson, with stunning views across the valley, the chateau is within easy reach of Bordeaux and Bergerac airports.

Stroll through the vineyards before breakfast and return with croissants and freshly baked bread.  Browse bustling markets in pretty medieval towns.  Sample world class wine in St Emilion.  Enjoy friendly local bistros or innovative Michelin star restaurants.  Drift down the Dordogne on a kayak or paddle board.  Explore the local villages by bike.  Lounge by the heated pool or at the Lac de Gurson while the children splash around.

Then, relax on the terrace with an aperitif as the sun sets at the end of another wonderful day.

We had a wonderful stay at the chateau, it surpassed all our expectations. Communication was excellent and local hosts couldn’t be more helpful. We will definitely be coming back in the future!
